Lay-by & Trade-in Policy
Standard Lay-by Policy
There are a few important things to keep in mind when purchasing a product from Smartphone Avenu using the Lay-by option:
- Our lay-by option is for a period of 5 months.
- Payments are made via EFT.
Cancelling Lay-by
When you cancel a lay-by, you are charged a cancellation fee of 30%.
Example:
If you want to put a lay-by on an iPhone 8 that is R5,000:

You then get the device after paying 5 full monthly lay-by installments.
Trade-ins
At Smartphone Avenu, a Trade-in starts from iPhone XR. For a successful Trade-in, you have to provide the following ownership documents:
- Cellphone Receipt
After producing the receipt, we then diagnose and evaluate the device.
